California's 72nd State Assembly District is one of 80 districts in the California State Assembly. It is currently represented by Republican Travis Allen of Huntington Beach.

District profile

The district currently consists of 14.88% of Orange County, including all of Brea, Fullerton, and Placentia, 37.27% of Anaheim, 38.85% of La Habra, 29.98% of Orange, and 47.09% of Yorba Linda.

2011 redistricting

After redistricting in 2011 by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission, the new district now includes 15.6% of Orange County. Cities in the district include Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, and Westminster.

Incumbent Chris Norby ran (and lost) in District 65, due to the redistricting.
