This Wikipedia category documents notable people who have either served in faculty or staff positions at or received honorary degrees from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. It also notes those people associated with the various institutions that were merged into the college, such as Cobb Divinity School, the Maine State Seminary, and Nicholas Latin School.

This category is invariably different from Category:Bates College alumni, which catalogues former students–whether they graduated or not–of Bates and its preceding or now-defunct institutions. Honorary degree recipients are typically not considered alumni of the college unless they were additionally former students in some capacity. This list of Bates College people documents those who have received a B.A., B.S., B.S.E., V-12, or S.T.B. degree from the college.
