Category:Popes
The title of pope is used in several churches to denote their high spiritual leaders. This category refers only to the popes of the Catholic Church, whose supreme head is the bishop of Rome.
Note on numbering of popes: There has never been a Pope Martin II or Pope Martin III. Read Pope Stephen II on the numbering of his successors with the same name.
This is a non-diffusing category and should contain all popes.
