Death Before Dishonor XVII

Death Before Dishonor XVI[1] is an upcoming two night professional wrestling event produced by Ring of Honor (ROH), which will take place on September 28 and 29, 2018 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The first night will be a pay-per-view broadcast, while night two will be a set of TV tapings for the company's flagship program Ring of Honor Wrestling.

Wrestlers from New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) — with which ROH has a partnership — also will appear on the card.

Storylines

Death Before Dishonor XV will feature professional wrestling matches, involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that played out on ROH's television programs. Wrestlers portrayed villains or heroes as they followed a series of events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches.

Death Before Dishonor XV will be main evented by Jay Lethal defending the ROH World Championship against Will Ospreay. On August 25, 2018, during the Ring of Honor Wrestling tapings, Ospreay returned to ROH in a pre-taped vignette, challenging Lethal to a for the ROH World Championship.[2] Afterwards, Lethal accepted the match.[2]

In the Women of Honor World Championship Sumie Sakai will make her six title defense against Tenille Dashwood. On August 25, 2018, during the Ring of Honor Wrestling tapings, after Sakai defended the Women of Honor World Championship against Tasha Steelz, Sakai announced that Tenille Dashwood, would validate her being champion.[2] Afterwards, Dashwood came to the ring and accepted the challenge.[2] Sakai had previously defeated Dashwood in the semifinals of the Women of Honor Championship on April 7 at Supercard of Honor XII.[3]
