Abdul-Razak Failatu (born on 7 November,1988) is a Ghanaian chef and afro-pop musician.[1]
Education
Failatu attended the Business Senior High School (BISCO) in the Northern Region of Ghana, Tamale. She then furthered her education at the University for Development Studies (UDS) where she studied Integrated Community Development (ICD)[1].
Career
She is the founder of Mickey’s Inn, a continental restaurant located in the central part of Tamale.
Aside cooking, Failatu is an Afro-pop musician and released 'Piibu Piibu' in 2016.[2]
Personal Life
Abdul Razak Failatu is married to Reginald Ofosuhene Adjei and have one daughter.[3][1]
Guinness World Record Attempt
On January 1st 2024, Abdul Razak Failatu attempted to break the Guinness world record for the longest cooking marathon (cookathon) for five days. Failatu aimed to surpass the current record of 119 hours and 57 minutes[4].
After 10 days of non-stop cooking, Abdul Razak Failatu cooked for 227 hours[5]. She cooked a total of 154 dishes in a space of 227 hours[6].
After she intended to beat the official 119-hour record set by Alan Fisher, her attempt was unsuccessful because she violated rules governing her attempt[7].
