In 2009, Mouradian was the Seventh Arsham and Charlotte Ohanessian Lecturer at the University of Minnesota [8]. On April 24, 2010, Mouradian delivered a lecture on the Armenian Genocide in Istanbul, Turkey.[4]

Mouradian was one of the junior editors of the Lebanese-Armenian daily newspaper Aztag from 2000 to 2007, when he moved to Boston and became the editor of the Armenian Weekly.[citation needed] Mouradian holds a B.S. in biology and has studied towards a graduate degree in clinical psychology.[5][unreliable source?] He also holds a graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution and Management from the University of Massachusetts Boston[9][failed verification]

As a journalist, Mouradian has interviewed leading scholars, authors and journalists like Noam Chomsky,[6] Arundhati Roy,[7] Paulo Coelho,[8] Chris Bohjalian[9] and Nicholas Kristof.[10]

His paternal grandparents hail from Konya, and Kilis, while his maternal grandparents hail from Adana, and Amanos.[11][better source needed][relevant?]

Writing

His articles and poems[5][12][13][non-primary source needed] have appeared in publications worldwide. A few of his poems in languages other than English have been translated to English and are available online.[10]. Many of his writings have been translated into more than ten languages.[11][better source needed] He contributes to a number of U.S. and European publications, including ZNet,[14][non-primary source needed] Jewcy,[15][non-primary source needed] The Jewish Advocate.[16][non-primary source needed][17][non-primary source needed] and Radikal.[11]

The special newspaper publications he has edited include "Commemorating Genocide: Images, Perspectives, Research" and The Armenian Genocide.

He has one academic publication, "From Yeghern To Genocide: Armenian Newspapers, Raphael Lemkin, And The Road To The UN Genocide Convention," (Haigazian Armenological Review, Vol.29, 2009).[citation needed]

His translations (to Armenian) include Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist," published by Hamazkayin in 2004. The book was launched in Yerevan, Armenia in the presence of Coelho and Mouradian.[18][self-published source]

He judged the New England Poetry Club's 2007 Shelia Motton Book Award, the Jean Pedrick Chapbook Award [12][failed verification] and the 2008 Daniel Varoujan Award.[19]
