Lisa Jakub is a Canadian-American former child actress and writer. She is best known for her role as Lydie Hillard in in Mrs. Doubtfire.

Life and career

Jakub's first role was in the 1985 film Eleni. She later appeared in "Mrs. Doubtfire" with Robin Williams and Sally Field, played Sandra in Matinee, appeared in A Pig's Tale and Independence Day, The Beautician and the Beast and played the "inspiration" for Princess Leia in the short film George Lucas in Love. She starred in Picture Perfect (1995) and portrayed a bordello worker in the American Old West in Painted Angels (1997). After retiring from acting in 2001, Jakub moved to Virginia and married her boyfriend.[1] Lisa graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Sociology in 2010.[2] Lisa is finishing her memoir.[3]
