Introduction
NanoHealth is a social enterprise that focuses on tackling chronic diseases in urban slums. It was born out of the desire to tackle diseases such as Diabetes and Hypertension in low income communities. It became famous after receiving the Hult Prize 2014, and getting a lot of media coverage. NanoHealth was founded by a group of 5 alumni of Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. The founders areDr.Ashish Bondia ,Manish Ranjan ,Ramanathan Lakshmanan , Aditi Vaish and Pranav Kumar Maranganty. NanoHealth creates a network of local community health workers called “Saathis”. They are trained and certified by the company. They have a low cost device called the “Doc-in-a-Bag”.

Partners
NanoHealth wants to reach slums through its community health workers known as “Saathis” to reach communities more effectively filling the gaps in patient-clinician relationships and interactions.
Expected Impact
By 2019 the economic savings to the patients will be >$14billion and the health care savings to the government will be >$22billion.
Awards and Recognitions
NanoHealth has received universal acclaim and recognition for its high impact social entrepreneurship model. They received the Hult Prize 2014 that was awarded by President Bill Clinton at the sidelines of the Clinton Global Initiative.
The GHMC Hackathon
NanoHealth was also selected as one of the top 7 ideas for improving our cities, at the GHMC hackathon organised in Hyderabad in Oct 2014.
