Peaches Does Herself

Peaches Does Herself is an electro rock opera stage show that tells a mythical history of the musician Peaches.

Peaches Does Herself follows the musician Peaches through her journey from bedroom wannabe musician to Rockstar. Through a selection of songs from Peaches 4 official albums, a mythical biography is told based on the misconceptions surrounding Peaches image. On the advice of a 65 year old stripper, Peaches makes music that is sexually forthright. Her popularity grows and she becomes what her fans expect her to be, Transsexual. She falls in love with a beautiful Shemale but Peaches gets her heart broken and has to realize who she really is. Described as an anti jukebox musical. Peaches wrote directed and played the role of Peaches. This is Peaches first feature film.

Film Maker Bio

Peaches is an iconic musician and performance artist. Known for her provocative gender bending shows, she has helped make the mainstream a more inclusive and sexually progressive environment. Over the years, she has built a reputation on her suggestive and intelligent lyrics, her amalgamation of rock and electro sounds, and her balls-out performances, each of which has outdone the last.

Recently, Peaches has been focusing her energy on theatrical production. The quasi-autobiographical, career-chronicling theatrical piece Peaches Does Herself was conceived and performed by Peaches in 2010. In the same year, she directed and performed the complete musical Jesus Christ Superstar as a one-woman show (Peaches Christ Superstar) with piano accompaniment by longtime friend and collaborator Gonzales. In 2012, Peaches broke new ground by starring as Orfeo in Monteverdi’s 1607 Italian opera and standing out as the only classically untrained cast member.

Peaches Does Herself is her first feature film.
