Persian Empire (disambiguation)

The Persian Empire was an empire in the Iranian Plateau, beginning in 550 BC and ending in 1979 AD. However, it also sometimes specifically refers to the Achaemenid Empire (550 BC to 330 BC) which was founded by Cyrus the Great.
