Reñaca is an area known for its beaches and balnearios located in the Valparaiso Region of Chile. The city of Reñaca is situated along the coastline, near the city of Viña del Mar. The two are connected by a long coastal road named Avenida Borgoño. Reñaca serves as a residential area predominantly catering to the upper-middle class and provides a coastal lifestyle with access to amenities and recreational activities.^[1]

Overview

Reñaca is located at the northernmost extreme of the city of Viña del Mar and has been incorporated by it. The beach of Cochoa and the town of Concón are located to the north along the coast road. The lower part of the hill overlooking the beach is covered with residential buildings. The town also extends eastward up the valley through which the Estero de Reñaca flows, where the majority of the year-round population lives.
