"Specialz" is a song by Japanese band King Gnu. The song was released on September 6, 2023, and serves as the opening theme for the anime Jujutsu Kaisen.[1]

Background

King Gnu has previously wrote Ichizu and Sakayume for the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0.[1]

Commercial performance

The song became an Internet meme after a post by NASA of a satellite image of Tokyo which bears a resemblance to a crater formed in the anime. Fans of the anime spammed the post with the caption "You are my special".[2]
