What about the history of the Court of Justice?

La III République had a similar court and that's how I landed here. I am working on an English SVG for this Wikimedia map and was trying to understand the meaning of forme there. You know, what an English equivalent may be, related to law. Is it short for the writing of the law or something similar and what part the Court plays? At least, that's what I asked myself. I was hoping to find out here but alas, I did not.

I think that a history of this court will demonstrated the changes its made and how it because what it is now. Am I alone?
