Attention template addition

I added the Attention template to this page because it contains little factual information, is somewhat POV (certainly seems to over-emphasize the importance of race), cites no sources, and is in general not a good example of a WP article. Although there's little useful information here now, I don't feel it necessarily needs to be deleted; the topic is worth an article, just... not this one. I'll put in some work to bring it up to standards, but I'm not an expert and could definitely use some serious help. Thanks for taking the time to check into this. --SuperNova |T|C| 04:29, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POV template addition

I am concerned about the neutrality of this article, especially the "Modern times and the shift to Republican dominance" heading. Certain inclusions seem extraneous and unsourced; for example, why does the caption of Jimmy Carter describe him as "a descendant of Confederate veterans"? (I also don't see this information at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Carter, and either way it's an odd inclusion at best.)

For completion, it would probably also be a good idea to link the inclusion of Barry Goldwater with the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy.

Note that this is my first Wikipedia contribution in a while; I welcome any corrections. Person 6000000000 (talk) 03:01, 11 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
