What is the population?[edit]

I'm not sure where the current infobox population figure of 639 comes from. In any case, numbers are all over the place:

  • the 2010 Census said 208 people
  • the 2010 American Community Survey said 359, plus or minus 155
  • the Arizona Rural Policy Institute pegged it at 465 (down from 503 in 2000)
  • More recently (in 2019), a Havasupai councilwoman testified that the population was 398, or 423 when children returned from boarding school. See "Written Testimony of Ophelia Watahomigie-Corliss Councilwoman of the Havasupai Tribe Before the Committee on Agriculture Subcommittee on Commodity Exchanges, Energy and Credit; July 11, 2019." https://agriculture.house.gov/UploadedFiles/Watahomigie-Corliss_Testimony_07112019.pdf .

I'd be inclined to trust the most recent numbers (398/423), but is the source acceptable? --Larry/Traveling_Man (talk) 02:13, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
