bronze plaque in Amityville

There is a bronze plaque in Amityville, New York (Long Island) towards the end of Ocean Avenue (where it intersects Richmond Avenue 40°39′29″N 73°24′54″W / 40.658°N 73.415°W / 40.658; -73.415 (Sperry Test Flight commemorative plaque)) commemorating the first flight of this flying torpedo there on 11 September 1916 (presumably the flight was out over South Oyster Bay). A photograph of the plaque might help to illustrate this article. 69.126.127.193 (talk) 12:27, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Needs infobox, specs, references. Plenty of text; I'd say it's about as comprehensive as this article will get. Karl Dickman talk 01:37, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
