Happenings on Wikipedia of which I have asked WTF?

Many plants species creation objection (classifying it as "mass creation")

This was juicy and ridiculous. WTF? Don't dibble in what you don't understand.

The Lang template thing

There was this after which I actually did this and followed up with this to which was replied this, which then led to this and then somebody else did this, so to avoid engaging in an WP:EDITWAR (as well as losing my mind), I just stepped back for a week and then did this which was responded to with this, and I took another break for a while, after which I remembered the article after reading something about the Lang template in WP:ACCESSIBILITY, so then I worked on it in my sandbox with a better understanding of the template; I sought the input of the editor (go down one section), and it all finally led to this. All is resolved now, but it was kind of crazy. A WTF? at the time for sure. Ultimately, it made the article better and taught me a few things, because there are people and ideas and events behind building an encyclopedia, and we're all learning here.

User space bot changes

Sigh. It was resolved, but still.

Pronunciation of scientific names

So, this change occurred with the comment "There is no correct pronunciation for neolatin scientific names". This isn't the only species article which has (or had) IPA. Is this accurate or just someone's idea of something that shouldn't be done in Wikipedia? WTF?

Turns out, based on this discussion, it may or may not be accurate, but there are sources for scientific name pronunciations, and the best thing for me to do if using a pronunciation key for one in an article is to to seek a reliable source and cite it as is done for any other fact. And, since I had only done it in one article and have no desire or attachment to doing it again anyway, case closed for me. Question answered.

Not non-notable notable flora

This troublesome and time-consuming thing happened: several articles about notable floras were marked with not-notable tags. Making work for others? WTF? I tagged the user when I brought it up at the Plants Project, and later removed the Notability tags.

Trigger happy bot user

Then there's this crap (WTF?), followed (thankfully) by this. Took up too much time.

All I said was poo-

So this happened. Oh well.
