: No, you have repeatedly deleted well referenced content en-masse and acted as though you own the article, which you should well know is not the way it works here. -- <u style="text-decoration:none; font-family: papyrus;">samj <small><font color="maroon">in</font><font color="green">out</font></small></u> 13:52, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Tyler Florence edits

Thanks - a considerable improvement. Wikidemon (talk) 18:11, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work on the Stem article! 842U (talk) 22:01, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You did all the work. I just tweaked the results. Hope you don't mind. -AndrewDressel (talk) 22:09, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what this means "The threadless stem's centering can be adjusted without disturbing handlebar height." -AndrewDressel (talk) 13:44, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

With a threadless stem, if the handlebars aren't centered, facing forward, you can adjust that centering and because the headset can only rotate and not move up or down, you won't disturb the handlebar height. On a quill stem, the second you free up the stem to adjust it, you have to manage the stem in two dimensional planes: lateral as well as vertical.

Maybe there's a better way of saying this in the article. 842U (talk) 14:18, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar

Well I know how tempting it can be to just walk away from an argument, especially one against a stubborn mule -- and sometimes walking away is the right thing to do, but I think the MoS over-reactions in this case merited your continued arguing and hopefully common sense will prevail in the end. So thanks, "on behalf of the project", for not taking the easy way out. Sherurcij (speaker for the dead) 00:19, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cycling in New York City

I've noticed the considerable clean up and edits, however it may be best to work on the changes you wish to make using Show preview or Show changes rather than making edits and saving the page each team for small additions. It would save your time and its easier for people to see your contributions to the page. Thanks--CorrectlyContentious 14:52, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Caravan reply

I'm not sure what you meant in your previous message. Unless I'm missing something, the white 4th-gen Caravan image is in the infobox, not with any text about the Grand Caravan. I had only switched the Grand Caravan image out of the infobox because it's a bit blurrier. IFCAR (talk) 23:39, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

geobox

I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean you would like to exclude some of the information in the new box, simply leave the fields blank, and nothing will appear. If you mean that you would like to include features that aren't apparent in the new mountainbox template, you would use the "free" fields to include them. I just left some instructions on how to do so here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Mountains. Once you get the hang of the new form, it's quite easy to use, but there is a slight learnign curve to overcome. There's a price for change. . .even good change.--Pgagnon999 (talk) 13:59, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you mean, "is there a way to adapt the features of the new mountainbox into the old mountainbox", I don't know. If there is, it would require a rewrite of the template itself. I think that was the point of creating the new version in the first place. If there is something unappealing about the new version (the color?), then perhaps the new version should be changed, not the old version.--Pgagnon999 (talk) 14:05, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NoMoreLinks text

Was the comment text in [1] copied from another article? The comment contains NoMoreLinks and that is a way to indicate it was made with which substitutes NoMoreLinks, but that template currently has another text. It's a little confusing when the comment still indicates it was made with NoMoreLinks. I guess it was originally made like that on another article at a time where NoMoreLinks had another text. PrimeHunter (talk) 17:19, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

great observation

Who cares if the media calls it "Miracle on the Hudson"? I completely agree! Does Donald Trump's article mention "Best Sex I Ever Had", which was a newspaper headline? I hope not! Chergles (talk) 21:54, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Escaped vs Rescued

While the passengers and aircrew of Flight 1549 escaped (evacuated) the Airbus 320 on their own ("active"), their subsequent rescue from the plane's wings and inflated slides was made by and with the assistance of others ("passive") who arrived in ferry boats and other watercraft after they had escaped from the cabin. These were two separate actions -- the first "active" and the second "passive" -- which both occurred. (Centpacrr (talk) 06:21, 20 January 2009 (UTC))[reply]

VW Routan

Finally got a chance to review a couple guidelines that suggest revising the lead section of the Routan article; my comments are here and I welcome your thoughts. Cheers, NMS Bill (talk) 22:38, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, 842U. While I still believe I have some good points about what should happen with the article, I'm afraid I don't have time to continue the discussion now. However, I just wanted to be clear that my suggestions are based on what I think would make for the most accurate and guideline-appropriate article; I intend for all of my suggestions to comply with WP:COI and relevant policies. I'm not infallible, but I do try to edit fairly. And as my user page notes, when an edit becomes the subject of debate, I head for the Talk page until it is resolved. I'm sorry to have to step away while this one seems unresolved, so I hope I get a chance to pick up the conversation with you again at another point. Cheers, NMS Bill (talk) 19:55, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
