I noticed that you closed the AfD as Merge. I'd just like to know if this decision was based on the votes on the AfD, or did it involve your personal opinion. LeaveSleaves (talk) 19:13, 16 September 2008 (UTC) |

An editor has asked for a deletion review of :Pilot (Fringe). Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. I set it up for DRV, as the consensus was to keep, not a de facto deletion via redirect. Hexhand (talk) 19:29, 16 September 2008 (UTC) |

I'm sorry, Dreadstar. I guess I misunderstood what I was getting into here at Wikipedia. Friends had warned me that Wikipedia was a refuge of self-important know-nothing teenagers playing with authority, but I thought I would give it a try anyway. I have a very extensive collection of print sourcing on American animation, and I thought I would use this to improve a subject area which has quite a lot of articles, but nearly all of a very low quality. When Collectonian removed all my very good sources (from a highly respected author in the subject of American animation), I intended to dismiss this editor as a lone crackpot here, and to add the sources again, attaching them to one of the many, many unsourced statements at the articles. But since this anti-reliable sourcing impulse is seconded by an administrator, I see that I, and my sourcing, are obviously not wanted here. Feel free to add unsourced shit to Wikipedia, without fear that I will contribute actual sourcing. Feel free to toast your buddy Collectonian, for another editor driven off. And I thank you for showing me that Wikipedia's reputation for crap is justified so early in my career here, thereby have saving me from wasting time contributing.
