Sarcasm doesn't go over so great on the web. Despite the temptation, and I know how great that temptation is; you should avoid it and be clear on your statements. I would suggest refactoring that comment and asserting your view with more clarity.

Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Palestine-Israel articles

As a result of the above-named Arbitration case, the Arbitration committee has acknowledged long-term and persistent problems in the editing of articles related to Israel, Palestine, and related conflicts. As a result, the Committee has enacted broad editing restrictions, described below.

• Any uninvolved administrator may, on his or her own discretion, impose sanctions on any editor working in the area of conflict if, despite being warned, that editor repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process.
• The sanctions imposed may include blocks of up to one year in length; bans from editing any page or set of pages within the area of conflict; bans on any editing related to the topic or its closely related topics; restrictions on reverts or other specified behaviors; or any other measures which the imposing administrator believes are reasonably necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the project.
• Prior to any sanctions being imposed, the editor in question shall be given a warning with a link to this decision; and, where appropriate, should be counseled on specific steps that he or she can take to improve his or her editing in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines.
• Discretionary sanctions imposed under the provisions of this decision may be appealed to the imposing administrator, the appropriate administrators' noticeboard (currently WP:AE), or the Committee.

These editing restrictions may be applied to any editor for cause, provided the editor has been previously informed of the case. This message is to so inform you. This message does not necessarily mean that your current editing has been deemed a problem; this is a template message crafted to make it easier to notify any user who has edited the topic of the existence of these sanctions. Please bear in mind these principles when you contribute to articles on the topic.

Generally, the next step, if an administrator feels your conduct on pages in this topic area is disruptive, would be a warning, to be followed by the imposition of sanctions (although in cases of serious disruption, the warning may be omitted). Hopefully no such action will be necessary.

Hello Julia1987, regarding Jayjg's comment, I agree that ChrisO cannot apply sanctions against you, because he is deemed to be involved in the editing dispute. However, now that you have been notified, an uninvolved admin could apply sanctions. Looking at your recent edits, I'm concerned that your talk page edits aren't entirely focused on article improvement. Accordingly, I suggest you have a look at the talk page guidelines. Tone

Julia, please, remember, try to avoid "you" and "your". It's not necessary to directly confront editors on the talkpage. Let that be my job, and you can focus on the article. If you think that I am not properly addressing disruption, you can bring it up on my talkpage if I haven't gotten to it in a timely manner. So please, try harder to "stick to the article"? Editing restriction

Julia1987 (talk · contribs), as you know, there are conditions for editing at Talk:Muhammad al-Durrah, an article where you have been participating to exclusion of all else, since your account was created on May 22. One of the conditions is "no reverts". On June 14 at 07:10, ChrisO added some information that was well-sourced.[1] At 14:11, you deleted it, without a sufficiently good reason.[2] This is a bit of a "grey area" revert since there were other intervening edits, but that it came so close after ChrisO's edit, plus that you were removing a valid source, combined with some of your activities, and the fact that your account is being used for a single purpose, have raised sufficient concerns that I am imposing some restrictions on your editing, per the above ArbCom case. I am not entirely banning you from the article or talkpage, but I am asking you to avoid edits to the lead of the article for the next 30 days (this includes the image and its caption). It is also my strong recommendation that you spend some time editing other articles, which will help you to gain experience in Wikipedia's procedures. In the meantime, you are still welcome to make other (non-lead) edits to the Muhammad al-Durrah article, and continue participating at the talkpage.
