Thank you for quality articles such as Franco-Mongol alliance, for being an ally to articles threatened with deletion, and an ally to fellow editors who praise your patience and "extreme civility, valour and chivalry in defending what on wikki are underdog positions", - repeating: you are an awesome Wikipedian (9 August 2007, 17 October 2009)!
Instead doing as Jimbo suggested, https://twitter.com/jimmy_wales/status/532624325694992385 I want to contribute meaningfully by making this the best source of information in the history of the world, which requires actually editing articles in a fair manner. And as I said, I have made thousands of edits already as IP, to a large extent consisting of reverting vandalism when I happened across it whilst perusing things I found of interest. Liz, you no doubt saw that I was told my edit would have been reverted for lack of cites, even if I had 500 edits - and even though the previous cites supported my edit. I have reason to believe the original revert was done by a sock. I just now noticed Strongjam edited my talk page in an attempt to hide a message to me about that person. Liz, should I take this weekend and fix 500 misuses of grammar to earn the right to edit freely? I can code a bot to unsplit infinitives and be done in an hour. The most effectual Bob Cat (talk) 00:38, 30 May 2015 (UTC)
