Hello, Nirmaljoshi. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "Uwanodaira No.1 Tameike Dam".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Dams

Thank you for all your articles on Japanese dams. If you wouldn't mind slowing down just slightly and taking time to link them to their Wikidata or articles on Japanese Wikipedia, that would be even better! Regards — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:01, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@MSGJ:Sure. Actually that is the plan for next step- linking and adding photographs. Thanks for reminding. Best Regards! nirmal (talk) 08:40, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Great, let me know if you need any help! I've noticed that Wikidata has entries for most of these already, although they often have strange spellings, for example Ohsawa Dam (Q34972741) was originally labelled "Ōsawa-damu" which made it more difficult to find — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:12, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You might be interested to see what I've started on List of dams in Japan. Perhaps we could get others involved in the discussion at Talk:List of dams in Japan? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 09:48, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Same request as above. You said you had a plan to do this but you never did it. Please can you start doing it now for the newly created items? Thank you — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:29, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@MSGJ:I did not do it becuause, it seemed you had more intrest than me and I felt being hijaked. Good luck.! nirmal (talk) 08:53, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry if you felt "hijacked" - we are supposed to be working in a team! Shall I give you some space so you can link to Wikidata and sister projects? The problem is that if the link is not made within 2 weeks then a bot will create a new item for the page, so we will potentially miss out lots of interwiki links. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 12:59, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@MSGJ: I understand your concern, but I neither have intrest or skill to edit Wikidata effeciently. Can you let me know some easier way to put the data in wikidata?nirmal (talk) 05:40, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is perfect! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:49, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can I also suggest you link to the specific list article for that prefecture? For example Urita Dam should be linked to List of dams in Miyazaki Prefecture rather than List of dams in Japan. Thanks! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 08:30, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@MSGJ:-Thanks for reaching out. I appreciate your work to make pages for each prefecture. But as a non-native japanese, I find it hard to search the required dam in current format. If one does now know prehand in which prefecture the dam lies, he would not find the dam information easily. I suggest to make another page listing all dams in single page e.g. List of all dams in Japan. And yes, I will try to redirect the link soon. Regards. nirmal (talk) 08:52, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We already had that page but it was far too long, so I split them all into prefectures, which I think is much better. Is there any other way you can think of improving these lists? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 13:00, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Masscreation of articles

Hi Nirmal, I see you create many articles. Masscreation led to long controversial discussions on wikipedia, with some unhappy endings and I believe if it is formalized it brings some more calmness. It is actually mandatory to apply for permission to masscreate articles. You might be also interested in WP:MEATBOT. Did you apply for permission here? Also I suggest you follow the advice from Martin, to request a merge of Wikidata items is more difficult to perform and also takes more time, than to link to the Wikidata item at the time of the article creation.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 08:39, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

- @Paradise Chronicle: Refer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Bots/Noticeboard/Archive_17#Dams_articles . Best regards! nirmal (talk) 01:33, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

June 2023

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Greater Nepal. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Please follow WP:BRD; you can't modify long-standing content without WP:CONSENSUS Kautilya3 (talk) 00:07, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

rollback

Hi Nirmaljoshi. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live rebision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 16:08, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
