Infobox genres
Hi there. I noticed you've been editing the formatting of genres in the infoboxes of several albums. Just so you know, these formatting changes are generally unnecessary and discouraged, as Template:Infobox states, ". (See also MOS:STYLEVAR.) Additionally, you may want to seek consensus before removing genres, as you did at Black Widow. (See also WP:GENREWAR.) I have searched MOS:ALBUM for guidance on including more than four genres in an infobox and can't find any stipulations about it. WT:ALBUMS can be a good resource for discussion on such issues. Thanks!

Genre list trimming

Hi! I just wanna say, you make a good point about not listing so many genres. 7 or 8 genres in an infobox would be overkill. With that, could you please help me settle that kind of issue in the article for the Linkin Park album A Thousand Suns? I tried trimming down the genre list (currently at 7 genres) sometime ago, but one user backed up those genres with more sources, and I don't wanna have to argue, so I thought it would be great if you can help. OK thanks....SirZPthundergod9001 (talk) 11:12, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022

Hello again. FYI, I came across this edit. This is not appropriate sourcing for "gothic rock". What you're doing here is called original research, as is not allowed. Please stick to what sources directly say. Find a source that literally uses the term "gothic rock" in this situation. Thank you. Sergecross73 msg me 00:00, 1 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, RockabillyRaccoon,

When you nominate an article for an AFD discussion and add its discussion page to the daily log, please add it to the top of the page, not the bottom of the page. By doing this, it means that the oldest discussions are listed at the bottom, those that are expiring soonest, and those towards the top are expiring at the end of the day. Right now, this discussion, which is supposed to end around 21:00 UTC is at the very bottom of the page, as the first discussion that needs to be closed today when it actually should be towards the top. You might have been confused because on talk page, editors put the newest messages at the bottom but with AFDs, the order is in the opposite order. I've seen this happen a coupld of time now so I thought I'd bring it to your attention should you nominate more articles in the future. Thank you. Liz Read! Category:Bro-country singers

I don't think Category:Bro-country singers is a good idea. It's a derogatory term that isn't used anymore and is completely subjective. It'd be like if we had a category for butt rock. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 02:38, 21 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
