*::::I certainly don't have confidence in you as an admin. How many users must say "I don't want you with the tools" before you'll change your mind? Or was it one of those meaningless recall promises where you'll bury your head in the sand and proclaim that "well you lot say you don't want me, but I received X private emails you can't verify, I can't post and could very well be making up asking me to stay, so THAT is alright". * I don't think we've interacted previously, ati, but I've certainly seen your name around, and have just spent the last little while going through some of your contributions (and yeah, some of the broo ha ha too...) - I think it would be best all round if you'd step down from being an admin. What I'd really like, in fact, is for adminship to genuinely be far less of a deal, so it would be best from my perspective if you stepped down for a while (a few months) - if you stood again saying 'oh look, I kinda stuffed up a bit first time, but I'd like to help out again', I'd be very likely to support. :-) [[User:Privatemusings|Privatemusings]] ([[User talk:Privatemusings|talk]]) 00:16, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

:*Yes, I would support too.... if such a thing were ever to happen. Considering Aitias ignored his RFC and RFAR and was resysopped without any community consensus (in fact quite the opposite), I very much doubt he'll bother listening to what anyone has to say here (unless it's nice) and accepting the fact that perhaps, yes, he did make mistakes (and is seemingly continuing to do so). When pigs fly, perhaps. I've been an admin for nearly 9 months now. After a few thousands admin actions, I think it's a good point of time to ask for some feedback. Any comments would be appreciated. :) — Aitias // discussion 23:26, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • "I've been an admin for nearly 9 months now" Well, not if you count the period you were desysopped by ArbCom, when you were "vanished". What have you learnt, if anything, from your ArbCom case? Majorly talk 13:26, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
A lot. I will just mention two things here. First and foremost that I will not edit Wikipedia when I'm extremely stressed in real life — if I had done so in the past, I would not have made the vast majority of the mistakes I've made back then. Also, that Wikipedia:Letitgo, Wikipedia:DISENGAGE and Wikipedia:Stay cool are kinda true. — Aitias // discussion 15:34, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Where in the protection policy does it state you are allowed to full protect talk page archives. There have been several occasions where I have needed to edit talk archives, and doing so prevents non-admins. Majorly talk 13:30, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
At the beginning of the protection policy it says: “This page documents an official English Wikipedia policy, a widely accepted standard that should normally be followed by all editors.” [comment: emphasis added by me]. Also, a very huge amount of users have their talk page archives fully protected (cf. [1]); thus, it can be considered common practice. In addition, no one did complain until now. Hence, I don't think it's a big deal. In the very, very unlikely event of a need to edit those archives, one is free to contact me. Nevertheless I'd be more than happy to discuss this further if you want. — Aitias // discussion 15:48, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • In your third RFA, which passed, you were asked: "Under what circumstances would you voluntarily give up your sysop status?" You answered: "Generally, if I feel that I do not have the trust of the community (anymore). That may happen, for example, if one of my admin actions is criticized (heavily) by a noteworthy number of editors. In such a situation it may be appropriate to give back the tools until the community expresses its trust again in a re-confirmation." Why did you ignore the community when your numerous actions were criticised, and where is your confirmation RFA to see you are still trusted? Majorly talk 13:33, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Hmmm, I have to agree here. Where's your reconfirmation RFA? Skinny87 (talk) 17:25, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Back then, I stated that I would do so if I felt that I did no longer have the trust of the community. If I ever had felt that way, I would have resigned my sysop rights. Though, I never felt that way. During the ArbCom case I received a lot of support per e-mail, asking me to continue. — Aitias // discussion 17:43, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
How are you defining "community"? I don't trust you, for instance. --Malleus Fatuorum 17:59, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Given that, replying to a question from you seems rather pointless to me. Sorry. — Aitias // discussion 18:14, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
