Please read the guide on the main page before requesting permission. In applying for AWB access, you indicate that you will abide by its terms.

Also, this page is for requesting AWB Access for this wiki (English Wikipedia) only. Other projects have their own check pages and you should ask administrators there to add you.

Please add your name to the bottom of the list using *{{AWBUser|your username}} ~~~~~. Enter your user name exactly as it is, do not add underscores instead of spaces or change the case of the first letter.

If the list contains undecided entries that are over 48 hours old, please add {{Admin backlog}} to the top of this page.

Note that users with under 500 mainspace non-automated edits are rarely approved. You only need to give a reason for wanting AWB access if you have fewer than 500 mainspace non-automated edits.

If approved, your name will be added to the CheckPage.

• Honestly I think that I don't need to provide a reason having done more than 500 mainspace edits and having sufficient editing knowledge. Anyways, I intend to use AWB for AutoTag,ErrorHandler,ListComparer and obviously for typo fixing.HARSH^-TALK- 09:36, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

• So that means my request is rejected. But I need to know why does anyone need to have 500 mainspace edits to get AWB? Does it mean that using AWB is so complex that some users are just incapable of understanding it? • I understand I have less than 500 edits on WP-en main namespace, but I have over 48,000 global edits. Since many years, I have access to AWB on WP-fr (check) and Commons (check) where I'm also an admin, so I'm an experienced editor, and I know how the tool works. Also, I'm the organiser of Wiki Loves Monuments and a board member in Canada, so I'm currently building lists of 12,000 monuments where tons of little corrections has to be done, and where AWB will be sooo useful to me! I'm very familiar already with AWB, having used AWB elsewhere for just about a year now. Another example is here where I was asked to help out on another wikia by performing a lot of repetitive/mundane tasks. (I'm RogalDorn on wikia and Dainomite here). I made my WP account over a year ago but started contributing more this summer.
