Yuval Ben-Itzhak is an executive and entrepreneur. He received a number of honors and public recognition for his work as a Chief Technology Officer throughout his career. Ben-Itzhak has been selected as the 25 most influencing CTO[1] by InfoWorld, 40 Innovative IT People To Watch [2] by ComputerWorld and 2017 Chief Technology Officer of the Year [1] by GeekTime. He is frequently quoted in the media and has been interviewed on television and radio programs. He was the Chief Technology Officer at AVG [3] and was part of the leadership team that took AVG through its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in 2012. He was the Chief Technology Officer at Outbrain until 2017 and now is the Chief Executive Officer at Socialbakers .

Web Application Security

Ben-Itzhak is an inventor of Web Application Firewall[5] & Scanner[7] technologies, back in 2000 when he founded KaVaDo, an early entrant to the web application security[8] market.
He joined Mark Curphey and other industry veterans to start OWASP in 2001. OWASP came to be the de facto standard in application security. Later he co-founded the Web Application Security Consortium (WASC)
