Žydrūnas Urbonas (born October 4, 1976 in Zarasai, Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR) is a former Lithuanian professional basketball player[1] who last played in the LKL for BC Juventus.

Žydrūnas Urbonas started his professional career in BC Panevezys (Lithuania) in the season 1993-94. During eight years played in his national championship. After this he moved to Russia, where he played for BC Metallurg (Magnitogorsk). Season 2005-06 he spent in Riga, Latvia playing for BC Barons and after this moved to Cyprus where became a member of Proteas EKA AEL (Limassol). He also played for BC Alytus and BC Šiauliai, and was part of BC Donetsk. He finished his career in BC Juventus.

During his career he became 5 times a prize winner of Lietuvos Krepšinio Lyga. In 2005 he won bronze at the Baltic League with Lithuanian club BC Šiauliai.

International career

Urbonas won gold medal with the Lithuanian U-18 National Team in 1994 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship.[2]
