- 8 April — "Big Ben" Brain dies from cirrhosis of the liver to leave the Championship of England a vacant title.[1]
- 12 November — Daniel Mendoza defeats Bill Warr in 5 rounds at Bexley Common to claim the vacant Championship of England.[2] Mendoza will only hold the title for 6 months until April 1795.
