The 1966 Lamar Tech Cardinals football team represented the Lamar State College of Technology in the 1966 NCAA football season as a member of the Southland Conference. The Cardinals played their home games at Cardinal Stadium now named Provost Umphrey Stadium in Beaumont, Texas The Cardinals competed at the NCAA College Division level in 1966. The team finished the season with a 6–4 overall record and a 3–1 conference record sharing the conference championship with Arlington State (now University of Texas at Arlington.
