During the 1983–84 English football season, Queens Park Rangers F.C. competed in the Football League First Division .
Season summary
QPR enjoyed a solid season upon their return to the First Division, finishing fifth and thus qualifying for the UEFA Cup . At the end of the season, manager Terry Venables left to manage Spanish giant Barcelona ; he was replaced by Crystal Palace manager Alan Mullery .
Kit
QPR's kits were manufactured by German apparel manufacturer Adidas , who introduced a new kit for the season.[1] The kits also bore sponsorship for the first time, with Rangers receiving sponsorship from Irish brewery Guinness .
