The 2000-01 NBA season was the Spurs' 25th season in the NBA, the 28th in San Antonio, and 34th season as a franchise.[1] San Antonio finished first in the Midwest Division with a 58-24 record. In the playoffs, the Spurs defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference First Round, then they would defeat the Dallas Mavericks in the semifinals, but would be swept by the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
