The 2005 Sky Bet World Grand Prix was the eighth staging of the World Grand Prix organised by the Professional Darts Corporation which took place at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin between October 24 to 30. Defending champion Colin Lloyd narrowly failed to make it two in a row after losing heavily to Phil Taylor in the final.
