The 2009 Big Ten Conference Men's Basketball Tournament was played during Championship Week between March 12 and March 15, 2009 at the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The winner, the Purdue Boilermakers, received an automatic bid to the 2009 NCAA Tournament. Purdue defeated Ohio State 65–61 to win their first tournament championship.
Seeds
All Big Ten schools played in the tournament. Teams were seeded by 2008–09 Big Ten Conference season record, with a tiebreaker system used to seed teams with identical conference records. The top 5 teams received a first round bye. The Final Conference Standings are shown below:
