The 2015–16 SLC men's basketball season will mark the 53rd season of Southland Conference basketball, taking place between November 2015 and March 2016. Practices began in October 2015, and the season will end with the 2016 Southland Conference Men's Basketball Tournament.

  • Week 1 –[6] The conference opened its 52nd season with a record of 4–9. All wins were against non Division I competition. The SLC had the following results against Division I conference members. AAC, 0–2; ACC, 0–1; MAC, 0–1; SEC, 0–2; and WAC, 0–1.
  • Week 2 –[7] After week two, the conference out of conference record was 13-29. Twelve of the wins to date were against non Division I competition with one win against Division I. The season to date results against Division I members was American Athletic (0-2); Atlantic 10, 0-2; ACC, 0-1; Big 12, 0-5; Big West, 0-1; MAC, 0-1; MEAC, 1-0; MVC, 0-3; Mountain West, 0-1; Pac-12, 0-1; SEC, 0-4; Sun Belt, 0-1; West Coast, 0-1; WAC, 0-1.
