2020 Sugar Bowl - Wikipedia

The 2020 Sugar Bowl is a college football bowl game that will be played on January 1, 2020, with kickoff scheduled for 8:45 p.m. EST (7:45 p.m. local CST) on ESPN.^[1] It will be the 86th edition of the Sugar Bowl, and will be one of the 2019–20 bowl games concluding the 2019 FBS football season. Sponsored by insurance provider Allstate, the game will be officially known as the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

Teams

The game will be played between teams from the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the Big 12 Conference.

Notes	The 2006 game took place in Atlanta, Georgia due to Hurricane Katrina. The game was also the national title game for either the Bowl Coalition, Bowl Alliance, or Bowl Championship Series in 1993, 1997, 2000, and 2004. There was a Sugar Bowl in January and December in 1972, 1995 and 2022. The game was a College Football Playoff semifinal in its 2015, 2018, 2021, and 2024 editions.
