44 Headquarters and Support Squadron is a sub-unit of the British Army’s Royal Engineers. The unit provides formation reconnaissance support to the 1 The Queen's Dragoon Guards battlegroup although it is commanded by, and provides administrative support to, 35 Engineer Regiment. It is located in Barker Barracks, Paderborn, Germany. From October 2011 to May 2012 the sub-unit was deployed on Operation Herrick 15 in Afghanistan.
