5.7.9 is a low to mid-end fashion retailer similar to Rue21 and Forever 21, commonly found in malls throughout the continental United States and Puerto Rico, and formerly Hawaii.[1] The chain offers mid to low-priced fashions for young teens and young women between 13 and 22 years of age.[2]

History

In 1935 Rainbow Shops was founded in New York City. With a vision of becoming a neighborhood boutique, Rainbow grew to over 300 stores by 1999. Today, along with sister brands 5-7-9 and Marianne, they have over 1,000 locations within 37 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands and are one of the fastest-growing junior retailers in the U.S.

Rainbow is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York[3]
