The 51st Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry was an infantry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.

Service

The 51st Wisconsin was organized at Milwaukee, Wisconsin and mustered into Federal service between March 20 to April 29, 1865.

The regiment was mustered out August 16 and August 30, 1865.

Casualties

The 51st Wisconsin suffered 16 enlisted men who died because of disease, for a total of 16 fatalities.[1]
