YO1 Radio is a local radio station serving York and surrounding parts of York.
It launched on 12th September 2017.
History
YO1 radio launched online on the 12th of September 2017.[2] [3]
In February 2018, OFCOM (UK Regulator) awarded YO1 Radio a FM licence along with 3 other radio stations in the UK.[4]
In response to its awarding of a FM licence, the station launched on 102.8 FM at midday on the 27th of August 2018 (playing ‘The Superlicks’ by Party Band). [5]
