Zahari Baharov (Template:Lang-bg; born 12 August 1980) is a Bulgarian actor, best known for his roles as Moth in Zift and Ivo Andonov in the BNT 1 series Undercover and Loboda in HBO series Game of Thrones.

Early life

He grew up in the old part of Ovcha Kupel. He can not say that with his brother Yavor they were mischievous children, but it happened to make some bad luck. In his neighborhood there was a kindergarten with a very high fence with a puff of heather. Having been in puberty with friends, they often smoked cigarettes by the garden and had the habit of lighting the puff. But once, when the puffs were dry, he took his cigarette close to one of them, and the whole fence lurched for seconds.[1]

Education

In his 12th-grade school year, in 18th SOU ''William Gladstone'', the prospective actor earned his teachers the privilege of not attending the first few hours on the pretext that he was living far away.

Career

Baharov studied acting at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia. He is acting on stage with the Ivan Vazov National Theatre since 2003. Notable theatrical performances include King Lear (2006), Don Juan (2007), and The Cherry Orchard (2009).

His first major film role was in Zift directed by Javor Gardev. The film makes him a star and earned him a Best Actor Awards in Bulgarian Cinema Year Awards (2009) and the Award for Best Actor at the International Film Festival Chungmuro, Seoul (2009).

In 2012 Baharov together with his colleagues and best friends Vladimir Karamazov and Yulian Vergov founded production company - Three Bears Entertainment. So far the company has produced three theatrical productions - Spinach with potatoes (by Zoltan Egresi), Art (by Yasmina Reza) and Dakota (by Jordi Galceran).

Game of Thrones

To participate in HBO series "Game of Thrones", Baharov sent the producers a video with three of his own duplicates, which they approved. So the actor descends north of Valla as the leader of the cannibal tribe, Loboda. The photos were held in Belfast, at 5 degrees, and began at 5 am, because in Ireland it darkened early. The battle scenes were very realistic for them to get into the assembly.

Kit Harington (Jon Snow) says: "Zahari is a great actor, it's fantastic. You'll love his game this season."[1]

Television

In 2011-2016 Zachary Baharov played Ivo Andonov in the BNT 1 series Undercover.

From 2012 to 2019 Baharov is the host of the television game Natsionalna Lotariya (National Lottery) on Nova TV. In 2019 there was a major scandal involving the TV show. Baharov was not involved in the scandal but the show got instantly cancelled.

In 2015 he appeared in the HBO series Game of Thrones in Season 5 as Loboda, a wildling,[2]
