Mariam Sayed Sameer Marbella Al-Alawi (Arabic: مريم سيد سمير ماربيلا العلوي) (born December 25, 1996), better known by her screen name Ivana Alawi, is a Filipino-Moroccan actress, model, YouTuber.

Career

Alawi was a contestant of the sixth season of GMA-7's StarStruck which aired in 2015 and signed with GMA Artist Center.[3][4] In 2018, Alawi appeared as Rina in ABS-CBN's Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Araw Gabi. A year later she appeared as Amor in Ang Probinsyano,[4] made her film debut in the film Open and was later cast in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry 3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon!, and appeared as Lolita in Sino ang Maysala?: Mea Culpa,[5][6][7] for which she was awarded Best New Female Personality in the 33rd PMPC Star Awards for Television.[8] In February 7, 2020, Alawi signed a 2-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN. It was later announced that she will star as the title role in Ang Lihim Ni Ligaya but she dropped the role in late 2020 and was replaced by actress Erich Gonzales giving the series a new title, La Vida Lena.

Personal life

Alawi has three siblings, the youngest of which is Mona Louise Rey. They were born to a Filipino mother and a Moroccan father. Alawi is the third of the four siblings.[3][9]
