EDGEOUT Records is an independent record label founded by Tony Guanci and Cheryl Benson-Guanci in 2018. Its releases are distributed through Universal Music Group, with which it signed an exclusive global label services agreement in December 2018.

EDGEOUT can sign bands it will "upstream" to one of Universal's labels, or alternately, do a self-distribution deal with a unit of Universal.[1]

Its Los Angeles-based artist development program, The STUDIO at EDGEOUT Records, is a program for selected artists.[2] Chosen musicians are offered a position in The Studio development program to educate them about being an artist in the music industry. The program includes a series of consultations with the head of A&R aimed at stage performance, songwriting, developing a signature sound, branding, image, thriving and wellness in the music business, social media, and other matters. Between visits the band or artist is assigned projects for the artist or band to complete during their down time. At the conclusion, if judged to have used the advice effectively, the artist may be considered for future recording and distribution agreements for EDGEOUT.[3]

EDGEOUT announced its first signing, The Jacks, in January 2019.[4] The band released its first EDGEOUT Records EP on 28 June 2019.[5] Its second EP, Remember You was released on 6 March 2020 with two Instant Grat Tracks ("Just a Little Bit" 1/24/2020, "Olivia" 2/14/2020) and a new single "Threw It All Away" preceding the new EP.[6] After "Threw It All Away" broke top 50 on Alternative Radio in Spring of 2020, their next radio single - a shortened version of "Just A Little Bit" - hit radio September 15, and is currently climbing the Alternative Rock charts. The Jacks have also release two 'reimagined' EPs, 'I Don't Mind' and 'Have You Heard The News', the former of which premiered on September 18 and the latter of which is now available on all streaming platforms as of September 25, 2020.[7]

EDGEOUT Records signed its second band, The Revelries, in winter of 2019, who are the first to experience Studio Development program.[8] Immediate plans call for The Revelries to record new music with the goal of releasing in Summer 2020.[9] The Revelries planned to debut new music at SXSW, but due to national shutdowns, they were unable to perform. The Revelries have been in the studio with Matt Wallace since early September 2020 recording their debut record.[10] It is predicted that their first single will be out in q1of 2021.

EDGEOUT Records signed its first established artist, DJ Ashba, in March 2020[11] who is pursuing a new era in his musical career through his project 'ASHBA'. He planned to release music before Summer 2020, but the timeline was shifted to late Summer 2020. ASHBA released his debut single, "Hypnotic (Ft. Cali Tucker)" on August 14, 2020. This single was written and produced by ASHBA, and mixed/mastered by three-time Grammy nominee Luca Pretolesi of Studio DMI.[12] ASHBA will be releasing several more singles, all with different vocalists, in the coming months.[13] ASHBA's second single, "Let's Dance (Ft. James Michael)" was released October 16, 2020, and the official music video- which will feature fans from around the world- was released on October 23, 2020. ASHBA's Christmas single "A Christmas Storm" was released October 31, 2020 with a corresponding official music video, which ASHBA directed himself.

EDGEOUT Records announced their newly signed band, Bluphoria, on February 1st, 2021. The swamp-rock band from Eugene, OR, is a quartet of college students turned local rockstars. They are set to complete EDGEOUT's Studio Development Program over the next several months.[14]

The company was founded by Tony Guanci, who has consulted for Universal Music Group, Interscope Records, Disney, NBC Universal Studios, and professional sports franchises, and is Vice Chairman of music festival promoter Danny Wimmer Presents,[15] and Cheryl Benson-Guanci, a co-owner and partner of The DCB Group, whose background includes providing creative resources for clients in the sports and entertainment industries including the NHL, NBA, Major League Baseballs, NCAA, NFL, Disney, Maloof/Interscope/UMG.[16]
