SmartAsset is a personal finance technology company headquartered in New York, New York[1] that uses financial modeling to provide advice on major financial decisions. [2] [3][4] They have provided research studies featuring data analysis on topics like best cities for women in tech[5] and most affordable places to live.[6]

SmartAsset launched in July 2012 by CEO Michael Carvin and CTO Philip Camilleri as a Y Combinator startup company.[7]

Investment and Finances

SmartAsset has raised $22.5 million in funding. Investors include Y Combinator, Javelin Venture Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners, Denis Grosz, SV Angel, Brendan Wallace, Quotidian Ventures, IA Capital Group and others.[8][9]

Events

SmartAsset launched a free mobile application[10] available for iPhone and Android in April 2014 at Finovate.[11]
