Willie Weeks, born William Ernest Weeks (5 August 1986, Winchester, United Kingdom), is a multi-platinum and grammy nominated British artist, songwriter, and producer.[1] He achieved his first Billboard #1 in 2013 with the double-Grammy and ASCAP winning artist, Matt Redman, and has since worked and contributed music for notable artists worldwide such as; BTS, Monsta X, CravityTaeyeon, SF9, TVXQ, Mark & Xiumin, Oh My Girl, Jake Isaac, and Newton Faulkner.

Career

His first big commercial achievement came in 2013, writing for Matt Redman’s US Billboard topping album, `Your Grace Finds Me´. Weeks has since been involved in other songs for Redman´s albums, including; These Christmas Lights,[2] Unbroken Praise and Glory Song.[3] He was also a part of writing '27 Million', a song by Matt Redman and LZ7, who released it with the intention to raise awareness for the anti-human trafficking movement. The record was in support of the A21 Campaign, with the aim to abolish modern day slavery. The song reached #12 in the UK official singles chart.[4]

One of Weeks´ big breakthroughs into Kpop was writing the song `Wishing on a Star´ for BTS’s album ”Youth” in 2016. Since then, Weeks has written and produced several major hit songs which led the UKP magazine to name him `the brain behind K-pop´[5]

Recent achievements have been writing the Monsta X songs `Follow`, which reached #1 on the Gaon Music Chart, `Fantasia´[6][7] that reached #1 in the US iTunes chart[8] and `Love Killa´. Other K-pop artists that Weeks has written songs for include; Cravity,[9] Taeyeon,[10] SF9,[11] Mark & Xiumin and Oh My Girl[12]

Further artists that Weeks has had commercial success with as a songwriter and producer include Newton Faulkner,[13] TVXQ and Kizzy Crawford[14]
