- ^ Known as Allianz Park until Allianz ended their sponsorship after the men's season ended on 24 October 2020. When Saracens announced a partnership with StoneX Group Inc. on 10 January 2021, it was renamed StoneX Stadium
Rule Changes
To reduce contact, several laws were introduced to reduce the number of scrums. These variations would go under review after nine rounds.[8] These were:
- Free kicks are awarded in place of a scrum for a knock-on or forward pass
- Removal of the option for a scrum at a free kick or penalty
- Scrums advantages last longer
- In a maul, the ball must be played if it halts
- A maul can only be formed from a lineout if it takes place within the defending team's 22 metre line
- No players who were not in the lineout may join the maul
- Game time is reduced to 35 minutes per half
