Shyok Dam is located over the Shyok River in Ghanche District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.[1][2][3]

The dam is located on Shyok River about 3 km upstream of Khaplu Town, Ghanche District, which is under the administration of the Baltistan Division, Gilgit Baltistan. With a commencement date of March 2016, the project is planned to be completed by June 2020 according to feasibility study. [4]
