Patrick MacNicholas[1] (1780 – 1852)[2] was an Irish[3] Roman Catholic clergyman[4] who served as Bishop of Achonry[5] from 1818 until his death.[6]

MacNicholas was ordained in 1804.[7] He was buried at the Old Cemetery, Ballaghaderreen[8] but then re-interred at St Nathy's.[citation needed]
