Andrea Victoria Aguilera Paredes (born April 27, 2001) is an Ecuadorian model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Supranational 2023 on July 14, 2023 making her the first Ecuadorian to have won Miss Supranational.
She was previously crowned Miss Grand Ecuador 2021, and represented Ecuador at the Miss Grand International 2021 pageant where she finished first runner-up.[1]
Early life and education
Aguilera was born in Ventanas, Ecuador on April 27, 2001. Besides Ventanas and Guayaquil, she has also lived in other parts of Ecuador, including Quito and Cuenca.[2] Aguilera represented her province in several beauty pageants in her country. She was studying medicine at the University of Guayaquil in 2021, but paused her academic endeavors to compete for Miss Grand International 2021. After the pageant, Aguilera joined the sixth season of Soy el Mejor 2022, but left the reality show after two appearances, due to three jugdes making derogatory remarks about her participation in Miss Grand International.[3] In 2022, Aguilera resumed her studies, pursuing a bachelor's degree in International Business at the UEES.[4]

Miss Grand Los Rios
Reina de Los Rios 2019
Aguilera began her pageantry career in 2018 after she won the right to represent Ventanas in the traditional contest of her province, the Reina de Los Rios. [6]Aguilera joined on September 16 where she was announced as contestant. On September 27, 2019, Aguilera won the provincial pageant.[7]
Miss Earth Ecuador 2019
Before competing at the Reina de Los Rios. Aguilera joined the national pageant for Miss Earth, where she finished as Miss Earth Ecuador – Fire (3rd Runner-Up), in the finals gala.
Concurso Nacional de Belleza Ecuador 2020
In December 2019, Aguilera won 'Miss New Model Maganize 2020, where the winner is sent directly to national contest, CNB Ecuador. In February 2020, she was announced as one of 20 delegates to compete for the title of CNB Ecuador 2020. After Aguilera withdrew from the competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she had the opportunity to return in the next edition automatically.
Miss Grand Ecuador 2021
Aguilera decided return in 2021, and competed for the title. She was one of six contestants for the inaugural edition of Miss Grand Ecuador 2021.[8] During the competition, Aguilera won the following awards and challenges:

- Miss Cielo
On June 26, 2021, she represented Los Rios at the Miss Grand Ecuador 2021 on TC Televisión in Guayaquil, Ecuador where she advanced to the Top 3 and then was named as the winner, besting five other candidates.[9]
Miss Grand International 2021
As Miss Grand Ecuador. Aguilera won the right to represented Ecuador at Miss Grand International competition, On December 4, at the final show, Aguilera was advanced to Top 20. After that, at the swimsuit competition where advanced to Top 10.
After the evening gown and speech, Aguilera advanced into the Top 5.[citation needed]
After that and several interviews due to the tie, she eventually landed the 1st Runner-Up position, making her the first Ecuadorian to reach the highest placement for the first time in the said pageant.[10]
Miss Supranational 2023
In March 2023, Aguilera was appointed and crowned Miss Ecuador Supranational. She represented Ecuador in Nowy Sacz, Poland, and won the title of Miss Supranational 2023. Aguilera is the first Ecuadorian and second South American woman to have won in the history of the Miss Supranational competition since Stephanía Stegman of Paraguay in 2015.[11][12]
