Arnold Schlaet (1859–1946) was a U.S. oil industrialist and business man.

Biography

Schlaet, with Joseph S. Cullinan, co-founded Texaco Incorporated in 1902. Schlaet was an investor from New York City who worked for H.P. Lapham and Co., managing that company's petroleum interests. Naturally conservative, he was nevertheless impressed with Cullinan's plans, and helped him to gain capital to start the new venture.
