Fengyong University (simplified Chinese: 冯庸大学; traditional Chinese: 馮庸大學; pinyin: Féngyōng Dàxué) was the first private university in China to follow western methods. It was funded by ROC military General Feng Yong (馮庸) (1901-1981).[citation needed] It contained departments of Engineering, Law and Education.[citation needed]
